Canyon Tours: A Helicopter Trip to the Grand Canyon
Champagne, limos and a helicopter ride to the Canyon. What more could you possibly want?! Join me as I relive a once in a lifetime experience to visit the spectacular wonder that is the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon holds a respectable reputation of being one of the seven natural wonders of the world and rightly so. I have always been highly amazed and fascinated by the beauty of the Canyon through pictures but nothing could quite prepare me for the astonishment that I felt as I stood amongst the beautiful landscape.
The Grand Canyon has always been one of the main events on my bucket list and after thorough research and viewing an array of wonderful pictures, I knew that it was somewhere that had to be explored in style. After looking online at various tour operators, we eventually decided to travel with Canyon Tours (website here) and they certainly did not disappoint!
Everything about our trip was wonderful and really hit the spot on both comfort and luxury. Our day started by being picked up at our hotel by a limousine before picking up other tour guests where we all excitedly exchanged stories on what we thought our day was going to consist of. I don’t think any one of us could have predicted how truly magical our day was going to be. Once all guests were picked up, the champagne was running low and our excitement levels were at an all time high, we made our way to the airport to board our helicopter. As soon as we arrived, everything was done in an organised manner and it wasn’t long until our group number was being called over the tannoy which meant that it was time to meet our pilot and make our way towards our new travel companion.
The pilot was extremely friendly and knowledgeable which made the whole experience relaxing and comfortable knowing that we were in very good hands. As soon as we boarded the helicopter we were given headsets where we were able to listen to the pilot who informed us of all the fascinating sites that we were flying over, including Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.The beautiful sites below left me in awe as I stared out the window not really believing the wonderful trip that we were lucky enough to be experiencing. The whole helicopter journey was exceptional and was a lot more of a smoother ride than I had expected! The landing was magnificent and I even had to ask the pilot if we had actually landed as he turned the engine off ready for us to explore the Canyon.
As soon as the Helicopter doors opened, every passenger’s jaw dropped as we each witnessed the incredible views around us. There we were standing inside arguably, one of the most beautiful places on Earth, with jagged rocks and beautiful rivers surrounding us. We were able to explore a small area of the Canyon before being called to lunch where we were given the chance to exchange thoughts amongst ourselves and gain some more interesting insights about the history of the Canyon from our knowledgeable pilot. Overall the whole day was a blast and I truly believe that it is a once in a lifetime experience that everybody should have the pleasure of witnessing at least once in their lifetime.
